What is offered in EWay?
Every week you will have a grammar class, conversational English class, and a conversational English club. Qualified English teachers teach the grammar classes, and native speakers teach the conversational English classes during the week. Every Saturday you will have two hours of conversational English practice.
When are the classes offered?
The schedule of classes is designed with you in mind. All classes during the week are offered in the evening. The exact time and day are dependent on the level of your English.
What should I expect in the grammar classes?
You will be given a grammar textbook that is specifically chosen for its effectiveness in teaching all modalities of the English language. Grammar will come alive as you participate in the active program we have designed.
What should I expect in the conversational English classes?
SPEAKING WITH A NATIVE SPEAKER! We are very aware that for many people they know many words and grammar rules, but have difficulty speaking English. You will have the unique opportunity to strengthen your speaking and listening skills with your native speaking teacher. We will use stories from the Bible to teach new words, phrases and idioms. We will also use these stories to promote discussion.
What should I expect in the conversational English clubs?
For two hours, you will be enveloped in an atmosphere of English. Each week we have a chosen topic. You will be learning new words, practicing those words in engaging activities, and gathering in small groups to discuss the topic for the week.
How often will I attend EWay?
You will attend your grammar and conversational English classes on one evening during the week. The conversational English club is every Saturday.
How much does it cost?
Registration is 500uah for a year (September – May). You will pay a one-time fee for the grammar book.
Why are classes so cheap?
All classes are taught by volunteers who are donating their time. They have a strong desire to help their community by using the gifts God has given them. The registration cost helps to pay for supplies, rent, etc.
How many levels of English are offered in EWay?
EWay offers at least four levels of English: Beginner, PreIntermediate, Intermediate, and Advanced. When you register, you will be given an exam to determine your exact level of English.
What age should I be to participate in EWay?
You must be 14yrs. old or older.
